Martial law tv show deleted scenes8/18/2023 Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Giddish was reportedly forced out of the long-running procedural, decreasing the focus on her and her relationships to ease fans out of their investment in her. That being said, it's unclear why they opted to get rid of a pivotal moment that informs viewers of how serious the relationship between Carisi and Rollins is. No one involved in the series has made an official statement about the matter, but it might have something to do with wanting to trim down the outing's length for syndication. For context, it was just 35 seconds including it wouldn't have significantly impacted the Law & Order: SVU season 24 premiere's runtime.
